All in all, we had a very pleasant visit and would definitely return. As busy as they were, our waitress was around often and the staff seemed to all be enjoying their jobs. They make the desserts and you can definitely tell they are fresh. The third cake had walnuts and the cake itself was superb. The chocolate cake was the same thing - the icing was homemade and the chocolate cake was as moist as could be. Real whip cream and strawberries and the cake was a moist, almost shortbread like taste. The strawberry shortcake was just as good as I'd have made it. We picked 3 cakes out and we all shared them. Naturally, no Low Country restaurant would be complete with out Shrimp and Grits, which they do have, but none of us chose them. The value at Page's really can't be beat. All of the dishes that came out were more than ample servings and for the cost, it was well worth it. The fish was fabulous and it's served in 3 big pieces. I had the fish and chips special and substituted the cole slaw for hush puppies, which were really good. My father had that plate and it was very good. They have steak, chicken, seafood and liver and onions, which you normally can't find everywhere. The menu is filled with all sorts of "comfort food." Mac and cheese (which was absolutely delicious), okra, fried green tomatoes, butter beans and collards, to name a few. Being that it was a family night out, it didn't bother us at all. So if you're looking for a quiet place to eat, this will not be for you. It is a bit noisy, they play the music a little louder than other restaurants, but we're not talking "Muzak" here. As I said, we arrived at 5:15 and they were already out the door, which is always a good sign, but we were seated right away. They did have outdoor seating, which we would have chosen, but it was super windy that night, so we opted for inside. At first glance, it's nothing special, and they are remodeling, so it's a bit disorganized. They are also open for breakfast and lunch, but then close at 3:00 for 2 hours before the dinner rush. They don't take reservations, so we got there right when they opened at 5:00. Heard rave reviews about this place so we decided to give it a try.
